Pyrgos village is one of the most beautiful villages of Santorini. It is located in
the highest middle spot of the island, offering the perfect setting to enjoy the
breathtaking view of Santorini! The village was once a castle city of the middle
ages and the former capital of the island as well. Walking through the narrow
alleys of the medieval village of Pyrgos it’s like a time machine to another era.
Great sightseeing opportunities also arouse in Pyrgos such as the Theotokaki
church or the famous monastery of Prophet Elias.
Visit the cosmopolitan beach of Perivolos, the EU Blue Flag awarded beach of
Perissa or the volcanic Vlychada which are located just a few kilometres from
Pyrgos village. Then drive to Kamari and enjoy some quality time around the
village where totally pristine beaches without beach-bars await you at the
northeast side of the island!

Oia (pronounced Ia) belongs among the most famous villages of Santorini.
Although it is the second most populated village on the island, remains a
peaceful place which is situated on an impressive cliff under the majestic
sunset. There you can enjoy the view over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni
or the island of Thirassia.
Oia is located on the north of the island, just 11 km away from Fira. It is stand
out for the majestic sunrise as well as the cobblestone settlement namely the
cave-like houses dug naturally in the rocks. The village is famous for its
traditional white-and-blue houses, the narrow streets and the blue domed
churches. Last but not least, do not miss to try some local delicacies!

Akrotiri is a prehistoric prime settlement of the Aegean. The prehistoric town
was destroyed due to a massive volcanic eruption around 1600 BC. The
Volcanic materials totally covered the entire island and the town itself! These
materials, however, have protected the buildings and their contents up to
date! Akrotiri is located next to the famous Red Beach and is amphitheatrically
built at the southeastern side of the Santorini.
Nowadays is one of the major highlights for every tourist and it is considered
as one of the most important archaeological sites of Santorini. Enjoy the
beautiful beaches nearby Akrotiri village or let yourself to be amazed by the
sightseeing of the Venetian castle and the church of Agios Nikolaos, built right
above the impressive reddish rocks, on the way to the Red Beach.
